Officials of the Federation for Hunting & Conservation – Malta (FKNK), together with a delegation from the St. Hubert Hunters (KSU), will today deliver Open Letters to the German Ambassador to Malta, Dr Hubert Ziegler.

The FKNK said that they had written to Dr Ziegler in May to ask for his intervention, that could assist in preventing further unwarranted incidents, such as the islands witnessed over the days of the limited derogated hunting period last spring, due to illegal actions perpetrated by the German organisation (CABS) Komitee gegen den Vogelmord.

The KSU had similarly written to the Ambassador on the 12 May 2012. In its communication, the FKNK had also asked for a brief meeting with Dr. Ziegler, and followed up its first mail with two reminders on the 12 and 26 June 2012.

To date, the German Ambassador has not acknowledged any of the communications, FKNK Secretary General Lino Farrugia said in a statement.
