British group Smokie to perform in Ghaxaq Music Festival

The popular British group Smokie will perform at the Ghaxaq music festival to be held on 7 August.

The Ghaxaq music festival will be held over five days at St. Mary's music club at Ghaxaq.

The event includes a number of concerts and music groups as well as a concert by the group Tribali at Ghaxaq football ground.

The British group Smokie will perform during the final night.

Smokie is expected to give a complete performance and will be accompanied by all their crew including the sound engineers and technical and light engineers.

The group Smokie was formed in Yorkshire in the 1960's.

They managed to sell over thirty million records around the world. Their popular albums including Wild Horses, Uncovered The Box and On-the-Wire.

All of the money raised during the concert will be donated to Puttinu Cares Project, where appartments are currently being built  in England.
