29 year old Andrea Camilleri from Luqa has been arrested and is being kept at Corradino Corrective facility after he sent his former partner several threatening SMSes after the court found him guilty of scalding her child.

The court had granted him bail after he deposited €1,000 and paid a personal guarantee of €10,000 and on condition that he does not contact the mother of the child.

Camilleri was today charged in court with breaking the bail terms as he sent his former partners several threatening SMSes. His defence lawyer pleaded that there is no proof that he sent those SMSes.

The court ordered Camilleri to be kept in jail.

So do we assume that by breaking bail conditions, Camilleri is out of pocket by €11,000? If it does, then it appears that cost of sending SMS's has skyrocketed!
