27 year old Adil Hassan Mohammed from Sudan has had his three year and a half jail term reduced after admitting last August to possessing 100 grams of cannabis within 100 metres of where young people meet and to attacking police officers.

Both the police prosecuting him and the lawyer defending him had agreed to a one year jail term butt he magistrate had sentenced him for three and a half year in jail.

The court of appeal accepted the request to have the three and half year jail sentence annulled and a new one is to be decided.
