The Newcastle and Andy Carroll saga rumbles on with the Magpies reported to have upped their offer to Liverpool to bring Carroll back to St James’s Park on a loan deal.
Liverpool rejected their first offer and are believed to be willing to sell Carroll for around 20 million pounds. That may just be beyond the Newcastle budget.
Carroll scored 33 goals during his time at St James’s Park but has struggled to find his goal-scoring touch at Anfield and with new boss Brendon Rodgers looking to bring in new strikers, Carroll is believed to be keen to return to Tyneside.
