Government MP Charlo’ Bonnici wants the PN Executive Committee meeting on Thursday 12 July 2012 to take drastic action against the three MPs Franco Debono, Jesmond Mugliett and Jeffrey Pullicino Orlando who voted against the party line in parliament on the motions calling for the resignation of Carm Mifsud Bonnici from Home Affairs Minister and Richard Cachia Caruana from Malta’s EU Permanent Representative.
Interviewed by Andrew Azzopardi, Bonnici said that as a backbencher he does not feel sidelined by the party and believes that the three MPs had their personal motives for voting they way they did.
Bonnici said that the disciplinary action taken against the three MPs should be in proportion to the harm that they have caused to the country and to the party, and this harm has been huge. They have to face the consequences of what they have done.
Reacting to Bonnici, Pullicino Orlando said that he also expects the PN to take action against Cachia Caruana in proportion to the damage he has caused to the country and to the party. Mugliett said that people do not expect a democratically elected MP to behave the way Bonnici wants.

I think that him and those that are talking like him, are more worried about the harm to gonzipn and his clique, then to the country, because if it was so, they would have called an election months ago.
