Push to replace Franco with Carm

To try and make up for the humiliation Carm Mifsud Bonnici has had to go through with his resignation from Home Affairs Minister after a motion in parliament supported by MP Franco Debono, the PN has decided that Franco Debono will not be allowed to contest the coming election on its ticket while Carm Mifsud Bonnici will contest on the 5th District where Debono was elected in 2008.

In 2008 Carm Mifsud Bonnici contested the 2nd and 3rd District. In the coming election he will contest the 3rd and 5th District. The PN will mount a campaign to get Mifsud Bonnici in the 5th District. In 2008 Mifsud Bonnici performed poorly on the 2nd District. Out of all the PN candidates he got the least number of votes in the first count (648) and was eliminated first in the 6th count.

On the other hand Franco Debono did extremely well on the 5th District even though he had no ministerial patronage to help him in the campaign like rival candidates former minister Louis Galea and former parliamentary secretary Helen D’Amato. Debono got 2065 votes in the 1st Count while Galea obtained 1791 and D’Amato 1433. Both were eliminated while Debono was elected together with Ninu Zammit.

Mifsud Bonnici is expected to have an easy ride to get elected on the 5th District. His campaign will be based on attracting the sympathy vote linked to his resignation due to Debono’s vote against him in parliament. Other candidates on the 5th District include Manwel Delia linked to the public transport fiasco, Toni Bezzina who has been involved in a scandal using government employees to refurbish the PN club where he is president and Herman Schiavone who has been for years trying to get Debono out of the PN electoral list by accusing him of circulating an anonymous letter against him.

Nirreferi ghall-artiklu spekulattiv u minghajr ebda bazi li deher fil-gurnal tieghek ‘Maltastar.com’ fejn inghad li hemm xi decizjoni li l-Onor. Dr. Carm Mifsud Bonnici jikkontesta l-elezzjoni generali li gejja fuq distretti partikulari, nkluz il-hames distrett elettorali. Fl-istess storja issemmew individwi ohra. Din hi storja ghal kollox ivvintata mill-'Maltastar.com' u hi minghajr ebda bazi. L-ezekuttiv tal-Partit Nazzjonalista la approva kandidati u lanqas id-distretti fejn dawn se jikkontestaw.

Ineptocracy - AT ITS BEST where "LIMITED TALENT" reigns supreme!

(in-ep-toc'-ra-cy)

- a system of government where the least capable to lead are elected by the least capable of producing, and where the members of society least likely to sustain themselves or succeed, are rewarded with goods and services paid for by the confiscated wealth of a diminishing number of producers
