The police said on Wednesday afternoon that Selmun Road, Mistra Road and the Mellieha Bypass have been reopened for traffic. Early afternoon the police issued a warning to all drivers saying that those roads should be avoided as they were dangerous because diesel has been spilled on them. The public was urged to use alternative routes.

Civil Protection Department personnel went on site to solve the problem.
