Two men are to be arraigned in court later today after a drug find in a bar in Mqabba on Sunday. The two men are a 42 year old Siggiewi man who owns the bar and a 36 year old Libyan who works at the same outlet.

Searches on the bar premises and at the owners’ house resulted in police officers discovering amounts of cannabis resin and cocaine.

The men are to be accused of possession and the intention to traffic the illegal substances.

Over the last week Mqabba was celebrating the traditional feast of Our lady of Lilies with the fulcrum of celebrations reached during the Sunday ‘marc’.
