Join Maltese and British bands in Qawra for a weekend of live music in aid of Inspire. On Friday 1st June, Saturday 2nd June and Sunday 3rd June 2012 at Ta Fra Ben Area Qawra – Free Entrance. Food and drinks will be sold at reasonable prices.

Friday 1st June – Jonas Acoustic Duo from the UK

Darren Jones, lead singer and guitarist, and Warren Mee, creative drummer improvising catchy backing vocals while playing congas and cajones, make up the Jonas AD Duo. Their music is versatile from gentle background music to full upbeat acoustic rock. The Duo will be supported by No Red Tape and other local bands.   www.jonasacousticduo.co.uk

Saturday 2nd June – Viva la Coldplay from the UK

Viva la Coldplay was formed in 2006 by musicians from Liverpool and Manchester. They toured extensively over the UK for over six years.  The band's career peaked in August 2008 where they amazed a crowd of 10,000 revellers at the famous Liverpool Mathew street festival. In 2010 they played on the main stage at Mathew street festival to a crowd of over 50,000. After a lengthy break the band have since reformed and played at the Martina Franca live music festival in Italy in 2011.

Viva la Coldplay will perform up to two hours worth of career-spanning material taking in key tracks. This is a show that will delight both fans and novices alike. The show will be supported by Cinnamon Wars and Infinite Loop. www.vivalacoldplay.co.uk

Sunday 3rd June

Europe’s finest tribute to Joe Cocker by Ciarron Maginnis will be complimented by a full show by Freddie Portelli, who needs no introduction in the Maltese music scene, together with the established Maltin Biss Band.
