The Malta Association of Small Shareholders (MASS) notes that a number of Companies quoted on the Malta Stock Exchange are declaring that their profits in the last year  are much lower than in previous years or even in some cases that they have made no profits.

MASS says that while their profits are down, the allowances these companies pay “to CEO's, directors and other Heads are always increasing, in certain cases phenomenally.”

MASS says that “the dividends that are being paid to the hundreds, if not thousands of shareholders are miserable and in some cases no dividends are being paid at all. Reasonably this is leading to a lot grumbling and rage among the shareholders as was shown in the Annual General Meeting of the La Valette Multi Manager Property Fund last week.”
