A nichè of singular architectural beauty dedicated to St. Philip, patron Saint of Ħaż-Żebbuġ, is to be inaugurated this Friday, February 10 at 10:30h at 47, Freedom Avenue Ħaż-Żebbuġ.

This is the outstanding work of master craftsmen.  Lawrence Attard who not only designed the original works of art but also sculptured the motiv and complemented the works by decorative stucco, a fast dying trade in our islands.

Jesmond Bonello guilded and painted the 3.5 meters by 3 meters nichè together with Joseph Camilleri, who is a decorative stone conservationist .

This original work of art was commissioned by Dr. Godfrey Farrugia, a feast enthusiast, and these works took more than one year of continuous work to complete.
